Chuck and Keith recently completed a kitchen remodel for my 12-year old home. Following their recommendations for a kitchen remodel the work they completed has been nothing less than stunning! We are completely and overwhelmingly satisfied with the work that’s been done! Our home isn’t very old but yet our kitchen definitely needed a thorough facelift and they came through big time. They chose excellent people for us to work with in order to make our choices for new cabinets, the electrician, new appliances, countertops and refreshing our hardwood floors, literally from top to bottom! We felt that the price we paid was fair and obviously well worth it. My recommendation is if you’re looking for remodel work in or around your home look no further than Keith and Chuck. They do excellent work at a very fair price!

How to begin our review of Masterpiece Carpentry… Our house was built in 1966. We own a two story with a full finished basement. As was typical in those days, all our rooms were divided into boxed off squares. Our remodel consisted of combining the dining room and kitchen, a staircase remodel, all new hardwood floors, a bathroom remodel and a family room fireplace makeover. All rooms had walls remodeled in some fashion to make our version of an “open” concept.

We had an extremely unique situation as we started our remodel at the end of January 2020. What no one predicted was COVID 19 and the ensuing pandemic. My husband and I had moved into the basement of our house and everything was running smoothly with our remodel. In March everything changed. Our college age children returned home from college unexpectedly due to the pandemic. Not only did we not have a kitchen – everything was shut down. Chuck, Mark and Keith kept our remodel running as smoothly as possible. As you can imagine, there were many activities that needed to be juggled. One subcontractor in at a time, finding supplies at a time when everything was closed and in general the complete uncertainty of our whole remodel. These guys made it work! We completed our remodel in May 2020 to our complete satisfaction and delight.

Here are just a few of the things I would say about these three guys (and all of the subcontractors that worked through them). They were always professional and helped me through a few mini breakdowns. Their work is impeccable – we have worked with contractors in the past and have never been so impressed. They worked on our remodel as if they were doing their own house. There are too many items to list when they went above and beyond their job. They are completely trustworthy. My husband and I traveled (for work) in January and February. They made sure that my house was locked up properly each evening and nothing was touched that wasn’t supposed to be. Needless to say, we have already discussed future projects with them, I wouldn’t use anyone else.

I will end this by saying that we have gained some very good friends. I still miss talking to these guys each day and I know my husband misses them because now he is just stuck with me! I hope if you are reading this that you gain a little insight into the character of these guys – you won’t find any better. Chuck, Mark and Keith – looking forward to grilling out some steaks with you guys later this summer. Rich and I are so glad you are the ones that did our remodel.

For the last few years I have been thinking of doing some major renovations in my townhouse. The biggest stumbling block was finding a contractor I felt comfortable working with on the project. I had some preliminary discussions with several different contractors offer the last few years, but never had the feeling they were the partner I wanted in a major renovation project. Last fall I met Chuck and Keith Weitermann when they were working at a neighbor's home. I very soon realized that they were steps above most other contractors I had contacted. When they came in to look over the situation it was clear they were skilled and knowledgeable and offered great advise on the possible solutions. Long story short, we went ahead with the project which encompassed a complete remodel of the kitchen, powder room and living room/dining room. There was some structural work, major repairs to drywall, beautiful new trim around the fireplace and windows, new baseboard and new floors throughout. I could not be happier with the result. Chuck and Keith were great to work with, always patient with my many questions and fun to be around. I actually enjoyed the experience. Additionally, the subcontractors on the job were all professional, skilled and very nice. I was present throughout the renovation and always felt comfortable with the workers that were in the house. It could not have been better experience and the final result is beautiful. I am pretty sure I would still be living with my old, outdated and tired house if I had not encountered Masterpiece Carpentry. Look no further when planning your renovation.
